Privacy Policy

This policy covers the PhotoGather app for iPhone and iPad.

The short version

PhotoGather has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Your photographs stay in your iOS photo library, where they already are; the collage you build stays on your device. We — the makers of PhotoGather — cannot see your photos, your collages, or how you use the app, because none of it is ever sent to us.

Your photo library

PhotoGather asks iOS for access to your photo library so you can bring photos into the app. You can grant access to your whole library or to selected photos only, and you can change or revoke that at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

The app does not add, alter or delete anything in your photo library. Because it holds references rather than copies, a photo you delete in Photos also disappears from PhotoGather.

Automatic organisation runs on your device

Grouping similar shots, filtering screenshots and documents out of your real memories, and choosing how a photo is cropped are all done by models that ship inside the app and run on your device's own processor. No photo, and no part of a photo, is uploaded for processing — it works in airplane mode.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
